Both weight and size are great for poi handles. I got the glow-in-the-dark ones and they're quite bright, they glow a bit already in the shade.

One thing that didn't bother me but I'd like to mention is that they're shape is slightly different. One of them has a a narrow hole for the rope, a metal ring on the interior and a deeper space for washers and knots. Both weight and feel the same while gripping so it was not a problem for me.
