Do you want to truly be the star of the night? Worried that your audience has seen too many fire shows and you are looking for something new to show off? Add some spectacular flames to the finale of your show with our Mexican star!

In the 2000s this prop was not used anywhere else in the world, but Mexican fire performers used it all the time! This is why we called it Mexican Star. 

How is our star different from other options? It's simply the lightest, easiest to assemble and biggest Mexican Star in our galaxy! 

The Mexican star is typically used with staff spinning technique. The star itself determines the plane of spinning, which means the range of skills can be somewhat limited. However with the larger version (150 cm) the range of tricks is wider, as you can also use contact staff techniques or "walk into" the star. For example, you can use it similar to a jumping rope! 

The frame of the fire star if made of 15x1 mm 7075 aluminium alloy, this is what makes it light and durable at the same time. We use the same tubular kevlar and the same fixing method we have tried & tested for many years with our fire swords. At the corner (vortex) of the star we use a quick connection to attach and release two connected sides of the star with one push of a button. This saves time in assembling and disassembling the star at 8 connection points. 

You will receive the following:

• 8 fire sticks
• 1 pcs handling staff 
• 8 screw with wing nuts
• 2 screws for the handling staff
• Alan key

Assembling:

1. Lay your 8 sticks with tubular kevlar at this end on the ground, assemble them into two squares. Note that two out of the 8 sticks have a hole in the middle - these need to be in the same square, on opposing sides. These holes will fix the handling staff. 
2. Align the two squares with 45 degrees angle into star form - there will be 8 connection points, two for each peak.
3. Attach the two squares at each of the connection points using the screws provided. We provide wing nuts so you don't need any tool other than the alan key. 
4. Take the handling staff (thicker stick with the grip) and fix it with the two longer screws through the holes on the opposing sides of the square. 

Recommendations for use: 

• Dipping: Lay the assembled star on the ground and dip the kevlar using a bottle with a small hole on the top. 
• Since you need to light many spots of the star, we recommend to use an initiating fluid such as Zippo or White gas for a spectacular beginning. Apply it right before your show as it evaporates quickly. 
• If you throw the Mexican Star high, make sure to catch it. It is not designed for dropping, we cannot guarantee your star won’t be damaged in case of bigger falls. 
• Do not ever put it on hard ground while on fire. Not even for a short while. It will damage the kevlar which can get expensive with so much kevlar.
